Using Your Google+ Page
Your Google+ page is a key factor in your Google search engine results. It shows up right in your business listing when people search specifically for you, and most likely often shows up in many local searches, too.
Your Google+ page consists of 4 separate sections – Reviews, Posts, Photos and Videos.
You have probably heard us stress the importance of reviews on your Google+ page. While you can’t completely control the number of reviews you get on your page, (even though our Thank You & Review emails can help!) you can control the content on the “Posts” section of your page. The Photo and Video sections will just pull in content from your posts and your YouTube page, if it is connected.
Google+ posts are very similar to Facebook posts, except for one major difference. They are immediately indexed by Google! This is why we recommend that you post on your page! Don’t just post photos – be sure to include your relevant keywords and links to your website or blog post.
Top Tips for Effectively Posting on Your Google+ Page:
- Include a link in every post.
- Include your relevant keywords, as long as the post is still reader-friendly.
- Use relevant hashtags. Just like every other social network, Google+ has hashtags. Let us know if you need help on hashtags.
