The way visitors shop for travel has changed significantly in the past few years. The marketplace is crowded, and it is increasingly difficult to be found by visitors because there are so many places to look. Here at AllTrips, we’ve been improving the way visitors find and engage with your business. In 2012, we noticed engagement with our advertisers trending down, so we used our websites to figure out why.
You’ve probably seen a few of our experiments altering navigation, listings and ad positions, some subtle and others obvious. If you’ve ever wondered why we do this, it is to learn what visitors want and to help them engage with your business. Some of these changes work well and others fail miserably. We use Google Analytics data to track behavior. In either case, the visitor gives us insight and our travel guides improve.
The result is higher quality leads for you. The trend is heading up again. Through Google Analytics, we have seen a 25% increase in engagement (ad clicks per visitor) in the first few months of 2014. This means that engagement with the links to your business on the AllTrips travel guides is going up compared to last year. More travelers are finding your business, and that’s our goal!
